Oral Presentation Guidelines
1) Format
- Supported presentation file formats are Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) and PDF.
- Presentations created on a MacBook should be converted to a format compatible with Windows PCs.
- All oral speakers are recommended to use a 16:9 aspect ratio for their presentations.
- If your slides contain music, videos, or other multimedia content, please test them at the Slides Desk before your session to ensure smooth playback.
2) Presentation Time
| Plenary Lecture | Each speaker will have 45 minutes, including discussion. |
| Invited Talk | Each speaker will have 20 or 25 minutes, depending on the symposium. A total of 20 minutes will be reserved for discussion at the end of each symposium. |
| Oral Presentation | Each speaker will have 12 or 20 minutes, depending on the session. |
| The Young Physiologist Symposium | Each speaker will have 10 minutes. |
3) Presentation file submission and testing
- Speakers are recommended to visit the Speaker Ready Room to test their presentation files as soon as they arrive, or to copy their slides to the computer in their meeting room at least 30 minutes before the session. Speakers are also advised to bring a copy of their presentation on a USB drive for submission and testing at the Speaker Ready Room.
- Please ensure that your presentation file is free of viruses before submission.
4) Presentation suggestions
- Oral presenters may visit the conference room to familiarize themselves with the equipment or ask a volunteer if they have any questions. The volunteer in the conference room will be happy to help you connect your laptop to the projector if you would like to use your own laptop for your presentation. Please also bring a USB drive containing a copy of your presentation as a backup.
- Please ensure that your presentation is consistent with your submitted abstract.
